An inside look at how Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar have revolutionized Catholic-Muslim relations
A new book takes readers behind the scenes of the unlikely friendship between the leader of the Catholic Church and the head of the most prestigious and influential Islamic institute in the world.

Death of Paul Raphael Joseph Bossie, CLR-OTP
Paul, dedicated to the resurrection and passion of Christ, a lifelong non-violent and peace activist and US Army veteran, died on October 14, 2023, at the age of 83.

According to Fr. Bob Bossie, SCJ, his brother, “Single handedly, Paul began the protest of Chicago’s Air and Water show in 1992. He saw the show as a recruiting tool for all young men and women. Paul named the weekend event a military commercial for war and recruiting.” From one person, the weekend protest grew to a group of 10-12 consistent people, with the most participation being 50-60 people.

Paul participated in many other nonviolent protests, including the North Woods of Wisconsin at the ELF antenna (now dismantled), Israel during the Walk for a Peaceful Future in 1992, Nuclear Weapons Test Site, and against a Chicago weapons manufacturer Morton Thiokol.

Paul made his mark in the world, having strived for a more peaceful and just planet. He also left us with these words, “Try your best and be kind to everyone.”

Sex trafficking in South Dakota
Jennifer Long, Executive Director of Native Hope, writes: “Here in the United States, human trafficking disproportionately impacts Native Americans. In South Dakota, 40% of trafficking victims are Native women, while Native Americans only make up 9% of South Dakota's total population.

It’s a harsh reality that whenever an event attracts a large number of men, there is a market for sex trafficking—annual gatherings like South Dakota’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and pheasant hunting season.”

Here’s a brief video about human trafficking and the Red Sand Project.
