Tell President Biden: No children in detention!

After taking office, President Biden said he would reverse President Trump’s policy of turning away unaccompanied children who cross the border without their parents. And yet, that's exactly what's happening right now.

Detaining migrants — and especially children — is a cruel practice that can have life-long psychology trauma.

There are non-restrictive, community-based alternatives to detention. These alternatives have a 99% compliance rate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and immigration court requirements at a fraction of the cost of detention!

Add Your Name to the Petition

Did you know?  There's an easy way to make your emails to Congress more effective!
According to the Congressional Management Foundation, "personalizing" an action alert's message before pressing 'submit' is one of the most influential ways to get Congress' attention. In fact, their research shows that to influence Congress' decisions, offices only need to receive 50 personalized emails from constituents on an issue instead of 200.  So be sure to add who you are and why you care about the issue before clicking 'submit.'  Adding those few sentences makes a big difference!
